Kayak Fishing

Here at DNA, we feel that the best way to experience the true North is to get intimate with it. Plop down in a kayak and paddle through endless back bays: a marshland ripe with birding and fish that hang out in areas most boats can’t even get to.

Guide Jeff Goudreau has been at the forefront of kayak fishing since its growth hit Canada. He has guided groups of guest to huge fish across Canada from this green watercraft for years now.

While appearing on the Kayak Fishing Show with Jim Sammons, and in various outdoor magazines and newspaper articles, Jeff has demonstrated his understanding of design and productivity on the water. Fishing with Jeff has many rewards and his skills are diverse. He can help you achieve your angling goals. If you are looking to develop your kayak down-rigging skills, fly casting abilities or just want to land a monster fish from a kayak, then you are in good hands.

For the 2012 fishing season, you will be fishing out of a fully rigged Jackson Cuda. Your boat will either be rigged in a minimalistic approach to satisfy the fly angler or a tournament style rig with multiple rod holders. Both set ups have a Scotty downrigger addition for when trolling monster lakers. You will be filmed fighting and landing trophies from various angles by a camera man on the mothership and goPro mounted cams on the yaks and guide boat. Following your trip, you will be provided with a DVD of your experience with DNA.

To make your angling productive every day, there are options available when the main lake is ridiculous and unsafe for kayak fishing.  You can choose to fish in smaller lakes that are minutes from the city for walleye, lake trout or northern pike or fish from the guide boat until the conditions are more favorable. If you are serious about catching your personal best lake trout or northern pike then book a trip with DNA!
